It is around this time of year that the chatter around the coffee shops are about which local went to Hawaii, when Gary and Dawn Penner are back from Yuma, the city budget, snow removal (or lack thereof) and of course, lack of parking and when the Rod and Gun Club dinner will be.
For five years now, I have been going to this event. Now, I am not by any means a veteran, many others have earned that title in this community, but this is one event always worth finding the babysitter for.
With catering from Powder Springs it will make for a mouth watering delight. This event is of course important to the club as like many clubs, they need to have fundraisers to keep things rolling smoothly!
This year the dinner will be on Saturday, February 24th, with the doors opening at 4:30pm and dinner at 5:30pm. For those that want to get their dance on, that will begin at 9:00pm.
Tickets are available at the Revelstoke Community Centre, Johnny’s Tackle and Rough Country.
Also, Peter Bernacki and George Buhler will be giving away a few tickets a couple of days before the event on 106.1FM CKCR!
