By Staff Sergeant Kurt Grabinsky,
Late in the day on Friday February 16th, 2018 the Revelstoke RCMP received a report of a missing male. The male is identified at Michael David Foster. The male had failed to show up for work in Airdrie for three days, and was then reported missing.
Michael Foster, was last known to have stayed at a local accommodation, the Revelstoke Backpacker Hostel, on February 13 and then purchase a three day skiing pass at RMR for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (February 13th – 15th). Foster’s vehicle, a blue truck, has been located at the RMR parking lot, covered in several days’ snow, confirming the belief that he has been present in the community for a while.
Banking account information and cell phone usage show that Mr. Foster‘s last transactions were on February 13th.
The public are asked to note the picture of Mr. Michael FOSTER and report if they see him anywhere. Michael Foster is described as 24 years of age, suspected to be skiing alone, with minimal back country experience. Michael is originally from Aurora, Ontario, currently residing in Airdrie, Alberta. Michael is a Caucasian male, 5’6, blue eyes, blond hair with average build.
Currently RMR Ski Patrol are conducting sweeps
of the in-bound areas. Revelstoke Search and Rescue is deploying resources to search out of bound areas.
