NCES Presents RiverBlue Documentary February 8th.

The North Columbia Environmental Society will be having a screening of RiverBlue- a documentary that follows international river conservationist, Mark Angelo, RiverBlue spans the globe to infiltrate one of the world’s most pollutive industries, fashion.

Vancouver actor and clean water supporter, Jason Priestley narrates this concerning documentary. This film examines the destruction of the rivers, how it effects humans and what potential solutions could be implemented.

One iconic product in particular is responsible for toxic chemical waste reaching the waterways through chemical manufacturing processes, this film exposes the nasty reality by drawing awareness to destruction of a few of the world’s most instrumental rivers.

 

 

The film’s Executive Producer, Roger Williams will be in attendance to answer questions after the screening.

Also, there will be an introductory glimpse into plastic pollution within the Earth’s oceans, presented by Revelstoke based photographer and film maker, Agathe Bernard.

Thursday, February 8th- 6:30pm at the Revelstoke Performing Arts Centre. 

Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door.
