Family Believes Drone MAY Have Spotted Missing Plane

Domenic Neron (28) and his girlfriend Ashley Bourgeault (31) have been missing since November 25th, when their 1963 Mooney plane was reported missing.

A recent digital recording taken by a drone has led the family to believe that they may have located the plane. The drone photo has a vague image of the word HELP or HERE, which has given the family hope that they have located the plane and can finally have the answers they have been seeking since November.

Although the photo is hard to see, they have a belief that they can see a propeller, however, because of the shadows, it is not definite.

Staff Sergeant Kurt Grabinsky informed the Revelstoke Current, “The family contacted us on Wednesday with the photo (from the drone) in which they interpreted it to have the word HELP drawn into it, we don’t confirm or agree too see what it was expected to be. We had the RCMP helicopter out on Friday, and did not find anything.”

The local RCMP detachment were given the coordinates and they have been passed on to Revelstoke Search and Rescue, however, a further investigation into this particular photo will not be underway until a more definitive photo or tip comes forward.

The Current reached out to the family, but has not received a return phone call at this time.
