Carousel Of Nations THIS Saturday-Feb 3rd

The Ninth Annual Carousel of Nations is coming up quickly-next weekend- Saturday, February 3rd with the festivities starting at 3:30pm at the Revelstoke Community Centre.

This annual event is put together by the Revelstoke Multicultural Society who’s main goal is to celebrate the many walks of life by presenting interactive performances, display and of course, good food.

Kokomo will be in attendance on Saturday, bringing their cultural relevance with their unique dance and drum performance, and three-time world champion Aboriginal Hoop Dancer Dallas Arcand will be a delightful and mesmerizing performer.

Local Revelstoke performers will also be on stage, including The Tappalachian String Band with Denis Severino, Anna Fin will performs Russian folk songs, Highlander’s Pipe Band and a belly dancer!

 

History is a vital part of knowledge, therefore, Looking Back in the Library-History Talks presentations will be underway, a kids craft table and the very popular Kids Around the World activities which will be held at the Seniors’ Centre and kids can use their passports to travel to various countries.

Revelstoke Multicultural Society vice chair and Carousel of Nations entertainment coordinator stated, “To see the community support year in and year out for the last nine years is something that confirms our belief and mandate that Revelstoke is an open and welcoming community.”
