Allan Robert Kepler passed away at Mt. Cartier Court Extended Care on Thursday, December 21st, 2017 at the age of 88 years. A Funeral Service will be held at the Revelstoke United Church on Saturday, December 30th, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend David Cooke officiating.
Interment will follow in the family plot of Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice, in memory of Al.
Al was born in Kamloops, B.C. on July 27, 1929 and had been a resident of Revelstoke since 1960. He enjoyed golfing, curling, gardening and playing cards with his many friends. Al loved to tinker in his garage and could fix almost anything. He enjoyed social events, especially the Meat Draw and was a very lucky guy. Al was a long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion and was the head of the Elks Lodge.
Al was predeceased by his parents, one sister Mabel and one brother Walter. He is survived by his wife Marg of Revelstoke; four children: David (Tracy) Kepler of Surrey, Joan Kepler (Johnny Carson) of Vancouver, Janet (George) Kropninski of Mission and Doug (Jacqueline) Kepler of Revelstoke; nine grandchildren: Matthew, Jane, June, Leon, Ann (Levi), Julia (Orin), Jason, Lexis and Kevin; two great grandchildren: Leigh and Nicholas; nephew Marvin; Jamie Kinloch, father to June and Leon, as well as numerous cousins.
