Swimmer Jame LeBuke wins Swim BC silver and bronze

Local swimmer James LeBuke competed in the Swim BC LCM AAA Championships held this past weekend at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre in Kamloops. Local swimmer James LeBuke competed in the Swim BC LCM AAA Championships held this past weekend at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre in Kamloops. Swimming for the winter team the Columbia Shuswap Selkirk Swim Club out of Salmon Arm, James competed in six personal events and three relays.

He received the silver medal in the 50 freestyle (24.96), the silver medal in 100 free (54.70), and the bronze in the 200 Individual Medley (2:15.45). He came fourth in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.23), and the 200 breast (2:29.58) and came sixth in the 200 free (2:05.57). He achieved best times in all his events.

James, as well as fellow Revelstokian Hunter Stewardson will be competing at the Pan Am Sports Centre in Toronto July 26-31 to swim in the 2017 Canadian Junior Nationals.
