Harold Jacob Peppler passed away in Mt. Cartier Court in Revelstoke on Thursday, May 11th, 2017, at the age of 87 years. Harold’s cremated remains to be interred in Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Cartier Activity Fund, c/o Revelstoke District Health Foundation, Box 2421, Revelstoke, B.C. V0E 2S0, in memory of Harold. A reception will be held following a private graveside service, at Mt Begbie Manor, 1214 Downie St, May 19th, 2017, at 2 pm. All are welcome.
Harold was born in Ryan, Saskatchewan, on October 29, 1929, and was a resident of Revelstoke for over 40 years, where he worked on the BC Hydro Dam Project till its completion. Then Harold went to work for CP Rail, working on Special Projects on the Mt MacDonald Tunnel. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for many years. Harold was an active Ham Radio Operator and loved to build Heath Electrical Kits. He was a great music lover and had an extensive record collection which he shared with his family.
Harold was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Molly as well as six siblings. He is survived by his wife Marian of Revelstoke, two children: Stacey McNeilly of Pitt Meadows and Darryl (Corrina) Peppler of Hope; three granddaughters: Taylor, Jada and Ava Jane; one sister Lorraine Schwab of Fort St. John, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Harold’s family would like to thank the staff of Mt. Cartier Court, Dr. Molder and nurse practitioner Ann-Marie Gill for the wonderful care given to Harold.
