City Council heard a great deal about rats from Anita Ely, the Interior Health Authority’s Environmental Science Officer, who made a focused presentation about Norway rats, which are causing many homeowners headaches.
Ely’s PowerPoint presentation, which you can read here, covered everything from the different kinds of rats, the signs the you do have a rat infestation, the health dangers posed by rats and the fleas they carry, he ways they find into humph habitations and what you can do to prevent this. It also touches on what you can do to get rid of them.
That’s something many people are interested in doing. Since last autumn there have been many complaints about ratsĀ all over town. In response to the situation, the City arranged for Ely to make this presentation.
