City Council read the 2017-2021 Financial Plan a second time during its regular meeting on Tuesday, April 11.
The plan, which includes the 2017 municipal budget must be approved by Council by mid-May. Staff at City Hall are now reviewing public comments on the document.
In other business Council approved a new service agreement between the Arts Council and the City for the provision of entertainment in Grizzly Plaza this summer. This program usually costs $30,000 a year. It has gone up $5,000 which is being provided through the provincial Resort Municipality Infrastructure program. Then $30,000 is already budgeted. Because the additional $5,000 will come from the RMI, it will not cost local taxpayers a dime.
