Temporary access issue at Tim Hortons

Getting into — and out of Tim Hortons — has just become a bit of a problem as work has begun improving the intersection of Victoria Road and the Trans-Canada Highway — and the entrance to Tim’s, the Shell station and the Super 8. “Currently they are closing it (the main entrance off Victoria Road) from 7 am to 4 pm, but it will be closed for 24 hrs at some point,” said Tim Hortons co-owner Brian Lecompte. “You can still enter from Victoria but you must turn left and go up towards Subway and then enter our facility there. It’s a challenge for our downtown traffic.” Lecompte said he has been told this will go on for about seven weeks. “Think about all the snowmobile trailers, our delivery trucks and RVs,” he said. “They all enter and leave from the same spot. It’s certainly a disruption to our business.” If there’s bright spot in all this it is that by the end of May the project should be competed. But the restaurant is still open so don’t let this discourage you from heading down there to score a Timmy’s coffee or a box of your favourite Timbits or donuts. Tim Lecompte photo
