Nancy Howe passed away in Revelstoke at the Queen Victoria Hospital on March 8, 2017, at the age of 57, after a long battle with complex health issues with her family by her side. A Memorial Service will be held at the Revelstoke Baptist Church on March 15, 2017 at 11:00 am, with Pastor Jordan Eadie officiating. Interment will follow at the Mountain View Cemetery and a tea to follow in a celebration of her life at the Baptist Church.
Nancy was born in Victoria, BC, on August 26, 1959. She moved to Revelstoke when she was 15 years old to be closer to family. Her first job there was at the Old Tasty Freeze. She met and married Sam Howe on Jan 26, 1977. Three beautiful children soon followed, Kari, Sammy and Krystal.
Nancy is predeceased by her husband Sam in 1986, their precious son ‘Sammy,” in1987, brother-in-law Brian “Hammi” Howe and by her parents Maynard and Freda Mckinney and her sister Katie. She is survived by her two daughters Kari (Andrew), Krystal and her five precious grandchildren; Jager, Tyson, Trask, Rayne and Ecko. Father and mother-in-law, Juilianne and Harvey, David and Irene, Kenny and Renee and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Chris MacDonald, nurses and other medical staff of Queen Victoria Hospital and Kelowna General Hospital. We appreciate all your care and compassion during mom’s long battle with ongoing health issues.
