Mrs. Betty Ward passed away at Kelowna General Hospital, Kelowna,BC, on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at the age of 83 years.
There will be no formal funeral service by Betty’s own request.
Betty was born in Renfrew, Scotland on July 4, 1933, and had been a resident of Revelstoke since 1975. She enjoyed walking, having tea with her friends and was especially fond of playing Bingo.
Betty was predeceased by her husband, Walt in 1998, daughter-in-law, Heather in 2000 and by her siblings; Thomas Alexander and Peggy Brooks.
She is survived by five children: Dan Ward, Louise (Jim) Gibbons, Albert (Cristina) Ward, Brian Ward and Steve (Deanna) Ward all of Revelstoke; eight grandchildren: Mathew, Vanessa, Stefanie, Jenna, Jennifer, Caitlin, Kristin and Taryn as well as seven great grandchildren and one on the way.
