By David F. Rooney
Cathy English, curator of the Revelstoke Museum & Archives, gave her first Brown Bag History lecture of the year with a look back at life in our town as it was a century ago.
This 49:50-minute illustrated talk, which you can watch by activating the YouTube player below, is given life by Cathy’s sly wit and gentle sense of irony and her intense knowledge of local people. I hope you enjoy this video. If you’d like to see more videos of Cathy’s Brown Bag History lectures you can click here to visit my YouTube Channel where you can find more of them among the 425 other videos I have made of events (ranging from parades, Canada Day celebrations and Girl Guide ceremonies to interviews with our MLA, MP and local politicians as well as special school activities and school trustee, and Council meetings) in our vibrant community.
