Mayor Mark McKee says Revelstoke weathered 2016 rather well with notable successes in many arenas; 2017, he says in this video interview, should be just as good.

What setbacks there were were balanced — perhaps even outweighed — by progress in other areas. It was a an excellent year for municipal projects and the economy. The Big Eddy Waterworks and Thomas Brook water projects are underway, Revelstoke’s first major affordable housing project is fully occupied, and the City’s Vacation Rental process is booming. RMR’s Mountain Coaster is a hugely popular attraction that has contributed greatly to the local economy and there’s a new Ramada Inn being built on Steve Platt’s property at the junction of Highway 23 North and the Trans-Canada Highway.
