Christina Amelio is releasing a new song, Faded Away, on Friday and she hopes it will be as big a hit as Savage Love, which has “over 400K plays on SoundCloud.”

“I just wanted to send you an email about my song release coming up. I will be releasing Faded Away a song I wrote (with) my second FACTOR grant,” she said in an e-mail to The Current.

“I will be releasing two trailer music videos with the song as well. We filmed them In the Kootenay/ Nelson area with Dan Caverly. I also Have a giveaway absolutely free with the release. The giveaway is a free song, T-shirt and hat that will be sent anywhere in the world. (Click here for details: http://gvwy.io/5th9xx8 )

It has been a busy year for the Revelstoke girl who has been pursuing a music career since she graduated from RSS.

“Since we last spoke I signed with Arrow Music Agency for music management,” she said. “Last November I was in Toronto recording with my first grant. During that time, through the winter and spring I had a few offers for different contracts. I decided that Arrow (which has offices in Seattle, Los Angeles and Nashville) and Chris Sobonya  were the best fit for me and my career. So I officially signed in May. Chris selected me through a music site called Music Clout.”

The videos were Christina’s first.

“What was different was we filmed several different mini videos,” she said. “The videos will be 20-40 seconds long and there will be five different ones. They will act just like music trailers. If you go to ninaamelio.com you will see the Savage Love videos. I filmed those at the same time. I want to thank the City of Nelson. They let us film all over town and the Nelson Boxing Club for lending us their gym. The videos will be available on YouTube at my Nina Amelio page or at ninaamelio.com.”
