Passion & Perspective and Pattern Play are beguiling new exhibitions

Friday marked the launch of the first post-summer season at the Revelstoke Art Gallery with two excellent exhibitions featuring work by local artists.

Passion & Perspective and Pattern Play are the general themes of these two exhibitions that local artists strove to satisfy. They were remarkably successful, too.

These shows are all available to the general public for viewing noon until 4 pm on Tuesday through Sunday, until September 30.

I am a local art collector and I saw a number of pieces that I wouldn’t mind owning. However, I’ll have to figure out where I can stash them as I have 36 paintings and ceramics that already dominate my apartment. In the meantime, wanders down to the Revelstoke Art Gallery, located at 320 Wilson Street, behind the Days Inn.
