Robert (Bob) Tottenham
September 25, 1930 -September 27, 2016

Bob passed away peacefully at home on September 27, 2016. Born in Chaplin, Saskatchewan, to Claude and Gertrude Tottenham, he was the 8th of 10 children, and the last of his siblings. He spent his early years in Surrey and Arrowhead before joining the RCAF in 1950. He was serving in Ontario when he met and married Noreen in 1955.

Bob and Noreen moved to Revelstoke in 1957 where he worked as a mechanic at Downie Street Sawmills and later with the Ministry of Highways at 50 Mile and Trout Lake. After retiring he volunteered at the Revelstoke Thrift Shop where he spent many hours repairing whatever came in. Dad always said the most important tools in the tool box were the duct tape and bailing wire.

Papa/Pops loved spending time with his grand-children — whether it was fishing, working on vehicles or letting them dye his hair, his patience was tested regularly. He enjoyed his garden and was known to pass along important knowledge — such as when it was the right time to plant corn – right Patti? He was a proud member of C.A.S.A.R.A. and the Revelstoke Aero Modellers.

Bob/Dad/Papa/Pops will be greatly missed by his family: wife Noreen; children: Cindy, Mark, and Cory; grandchildren: Robert, Rebecca, Madison, Kiera, Kevin, Ken, Katrina, Kathy, Kaitlin, Jen, James, and Ashlee; great grandchildren: Farrah, Cash, and North.

One of his favourite sayings was “It pays to be nice!”

As per his wishes there will be no service.

Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family at www.MyAlternatives.ca
