The Jazz Club is back this Friday, September 9 with an All-Star Jazz Jam Fundraiser, featuring musicians from Revelstoke and the surrounding area.
“Our club was fortunate to receive some sound equipment from the now disbanded Revelstoke Radio Players, but we need a mixing board, speaker stands, cables and mics to get it up and fully functional,” club spokeswoman Wendy Lucas said in an email. “All donations this Friday will go towards purchasing this equipment. We’d love to see you there.”
Jazz club performances are held in the Selkirk Room at the Regent Hotel. Also, here are the groups booked for upcoming shows:
September 30 — Worst Pop Band Ever, from Toronto;
October 14 — Parker Abbott Trio, from Toronto; and
November 27 — Michael Occhipinti’s Sicilian Jazz Project, from Toronto.
