Kendra Blakely passes along The War Amps message to kids

As a War Amps Safety Ambassador Revelstoke’s Kendra Blakely is always willing to help the organization get its message out to children. Last Saturday Kendra rode the War Amps float in the Peach Festival Parade in Penticton. This year’s theme was: Mean Machines. Spot the danger before you play! The colourful float warned kids about the dangers in their neighbourhood from lawn mowers, farm equipment and railway crossings. As a member of The War Amps Child Amputee (CHAMP) Program, Kendra is well qualified to pass on the PLAYSAFE/DRIVESAFE message as she has met children who have lost limbs in accidents that could have been prevented.
