Three of Revelstoke’s Revy Riders Club members once again made it to the BC Motocross racing podium.
Dirt bikers Skyller Archer, Seth Chevrier and Wyatt Poitras finished up the Six-round MCQMX southern race series this past weekend in Quesnel.
The youngest of the racers is Wyatt Poitras. He did amazingly well riding his Yamaha YZ85 to finish with a second overall in the very competitive 85cc 7-11 class.
16-year-old Seth Chevrier was very excited to bring home a first overall in the Junior MX2 class and first overall in the Junior MX3 class. To top it off, he was presented with the Elite Amateur Junior High Points Award for the south series.
Pro rider Skyller Archer raced two rounds this summer in the Rockstar Energy Drink Motocross Nationals in the MX1 class against some of the best racers in the world. At the same time finishing the MCQMX south series with a second overall in the Open Pro AM class.
These riders are very dedicated to their sport and have fought very hard through crashes, extreme heat and other perils to accomplish their final positions this season. The boys will be competing at the end of August in the first of the three round BC Provincial Motocross Championships in Campbell River. Good luck guys!
