A sled theft in July

The snowmobile season may be over but that certainly doesn’t seem to have deterred the thieves who stole a sled from a Fourth Street home sometime over the Canada Day weekend.

A statement from the local RCMP detachment said the machine was a 2016 Polaris 800 Pro RMK 155, with a custom blue and yellow wrap treatment. “The sled was locked by a chain to a steel post and the suspect(s) cut that chain in order to unlawfully acquire the sled,” Staff Sgt. Kurt Grabinsky said in the statement. “The sled is originally all black, however, (it is) currently covered in the blue and yellow wrap with various words and images on it. The exact date of the theft is unknown.”

Anyone with information regarding this theft is asked to contact the Revelstoke RCMP Detachment at 250-837-5255 or Revelstoke Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). All Crime Stoppers calls remain anonymous and the information received is utilized to apprehend those responsible for various crimes.
