A great summer for local art

There is a lot of gorgeous art to see around town. The Revelstoke Art Gallery has two exhibitions on offer and the local branch of the Okanagan Regional Library has a lovely exhibition of offerings from the local quilting guild.

In fact, the Art Gallery, located at 320 Wilson just behind the Days Inn, is open later on Thursdays and Fridays this summer to accommodate visitors and locals who’d like to see Four Times Four — 4 Photographers, 16 Artists and the Roots, Stumped, Growth: Fierce Art Project.

The gallery opens at noon every day from Tuesday until Saturday and closes at 4 pm except on Thursdays and Fridays when it is open until 7 pm.

For more information please call the gallery at 250-814-0261 or send an e-mail to info@revelstokeartgallery.ca.

Meanwhile, the Library, which is located at 605 Campbell Avenue, is open:

Tuesday12 pm to 8 pm
Wednesday 12 pm to 7 pm
Thursday 10 am to 4 pm
Friday10 am to 5 pm
Saturday10 am to 5 pm
