MP Wayne Stetski is inviting residents Revelstoke area to join him at Mount Revelstoke National Park for his inaugural Hike With Your MP event on July 6.
“Ottawa has its own kind of beauty, but it doesn’t compare to the mountains, forests and lakes of Kootenay-Columbia,” he said in a statement “Connecting with those I represent, and connecting with nature are my priorities now that Parliament is on recess, and this event combines both.”
This family-friendly event will be held on the Soren Sorensen Trails in the park. It is scheduled to begin at 10 am at the trailhead, which is accessed from Meadows to the Sky Parkway.
The Soren Sorensen Trails can be done as a two-kilometre or five-km loop through interior rainforest. The trail is classified as ‘easy’ with some elevation change.
