Friday promises to be a hot and mainly sunny day — perfect for Canada Day!

This will be the 149th anniversary of Confederation and, as always, there is a marvelous party in the works for Revelstokians and visitors.

Be sure to dress for the weather as the temperature is forecast to be 28° Celsius.

Here’s the official schedule of events for Canada Day:

Communnity Pancake Breakfast at Chubby Funsters8 am
Bocce Registration at Queen Elizabeth Park10 am
Kids’ Bicycle Parade Contest at Grizzly Plaza11 am
Canada Day Parade starts at the Courthouse and heads down First Street to Mackenzie Avenue

 

12 am
The Community Birthday Party starts with the ceremonial flag raising and the annual birthday cake,. It also features live music, bocce tournament, games & prizes, food vendors, cold beverages, a kids zone, face painting and more the annual birthday cake, music

 

1 pm – 5 pm
