Crime Stoppers highlights a January snowmobile theft

Crime Stoppers is highlighting a snowmobile theft that occurred on January 25 when three men stole a pickup truck and its utility trailer containing three snowmobiles and a motorcycle.

A statement from the agency said that the theft occurred 1:30 am when three men were seen walking into the back parking lot of the Best Western Hotel at 1925 Laforme Boulevard from the west end of Pearkes Drive.

“These males walked straight up to a Grey 2006 Ford Pickup from Alberta that was attached to a white Wells Fargo utility trailer, also from Alberta,” the statement said. “One male had a flashlight and all 3 suspects approached the driver side of the vehicle, where they gained access.

“One male then walked back out towards the roadway while the other two got into the truck and drove away, turning east onto Pearkes Drive.”

The trailer contained three snowmobiles and a motorcycle. They are described as: a 2002 Ski Doo Summit 800, a 2004 Polaris RMK 800 and a a 1999 Summit 600 and a 2014 Yamaha YZ450F motorcycle.
