Photography contest seeks your take on diversity in Revy

Embrace BC is sponsoring a photo contest that invites you to submit your photographic take on diversity in Revelstoke.

“With this photo contest we want to see diversity through the eyes of Revelstokians,” said Embrace BC Coordinator Cathy Cameron-Suchy. “Snap a photo that explores the cultural traditions in your family, school or community… creating a panorama of the vibrant diversity in Revelstoke. We would like to know:  What does real diversity mean to you?  Is it ethnic food?  Unique, varied, and diverse cultural practices?  Photos should provide insight into different cultures living in Revelstoke.”

Entries should be sent as high-resolution JPEGs to the Revelstoke Multicultural Society’s Facebook page or to revelstokemulticulturalsociety@gmail.com.

There are three age categories for entrants: U15, 15-20 and entrants over 20. Submissions are being accepted up until midnight on June 5, 2016. Please include your name, age, address and telephone number with each entry as well as the title — if any — of each photo. Prizes will be awarded in each category. In addition, all photos will be publicly displayed at the Community Centre.
