Working for Revelstoke behind the scenes

BC Forestry Minister Steve Thomson (right) and fellow BC Liberal MLA Greg Kyllo (center) were pleased to receive copies of George Benwell’s autobiography, 25/100ths A Quarter Century in the BC Forest Service 1955-1980, from Revelstokian Peter Bernacki (left) during a party meeting in Salmon Arm last Friday, April 15. Peter regularly meets ministers of the Crown and other BC Liberal MLAs to promote Revelstoke’s local interests. Not that he doesn’t value the work of our riding’s New Democratic MLA Norm Macdonald — he does; he just thinks you can’t do enough to ensure the provincial government pays attention to rural ridings like ours.
