Don’t miss this Friday’s Women Grow cannabis cultivation event

The Women Grow marijuana cultivation movement will be back in Nelson for its third event this Friday, April 8, at 6 pm at the Hume Hotel.

Just in time for Spring, this event is all about gardening, and will feature numerous experts bringing knowledge from their unique areas of expertise. Along with several product and information booths, horticulturalist extraordinaire Erin Edwards and garden guru David Robinson of PNW Grow Supply will be the featured speakers of the evening.

Erin Edwards is a horticulturalist hailing from the Thompson-Shuswap area. She has had extensive experience with organic food production, working with non-profits with the goal of feeding all Canadians. Her horticulture experience is applied to areas of healing. Healing herself and many others with cannabis is very personal, and is a part of a life-long journey; several members of her family are survivors of cancer and epilepsy, and cannabis has been the medicine to her family hope. For many years a home grower, baker, and an avid learner, Erin is well versed cannabis. She is excited to share both recipes and ideas, and looks forward to the future we will create together.

In his early 20s, David Robinson began working full-time in hydroponic retail, and it didn’t take long before he began to take a personal interest in helping his clients grow with whatever means they could. He then dedicated 10 years of his life towards producing the book, “The Grower’s Handbook”, that considered all potential variables into indoor cultivation, including genetics, environment, growing systems, nutrient availability, and so on. If you want to grow indoors, someday, you will probably go into a hydroponic store to make purchases for your garden; David is the guy that you would want to find on the other side of the counter.

Featured booths include:
