Surveillance cameras continue to be an excellent source of images of criminal suspects for the Revelstoke RCMP detachment. Now all they need to do is locate and arrest them.

That’s certainly the case with this older man who is believed to have absconded with several hundred bucks in cash from vending machines at the Alpine Inn and the Days Inn on Thursday, January 7.

At the Alpine Inn the suspect cracked a beverage vending machine by removing the lock cylinder and making off with about $200 in change as well as several ing change totally approximately $200 as well as several cans of Coca Cola. The suspect did the same thing at the Days Inn although investigators are unsure of the amount of money taken. Security video footage also caught images of the suspect’s vehicle.

The man is described as being in his mid-to late-50s, with sandy brown hair and glasses. He was wearing a dark ball cap, jeans, a white shirt with an image on it and a black hoodie. His vehicle appears to be an early 2000s model Chevrolet Venture mini-van, most likely silver or beige in colour.
