Revelstoke City Council dealt with a number of important issues during their regular meeting on Tuesday, January 26.
They dealt the High Tech Task Force’s proposed strategy for developing our local high-technology sector, they discarded eight useless policies and, among other things, approved an amendment to the Zoning Bylaw to add Craft Distillery as a permitted use on the site of the Begbie Brewery. The brewery is moving to a new location just below the Hillcrest Hotel and the location on First Street across from the shopping centre is proposed as a location for a micro-distillery that wuld produce 50,0000 litres a year of spirits.
