A grand reopening for Revelstoke Mobility

Friday was a big day for Shannon Van Goor and the staff at her Revelstoke Mobility store. That’s when friends and customers joined her, staff, husband Tyler and their baby Blaire, and her dad and former business partner Mark McKee for their grand reopening at Revelstoke Mobility’s new location in the Arlington Block at 103 First Street East. There was wine, appetizers, cake, cookies and other delectable delights. Also on hand was Clare Adams, Telus Mobility’s senior market manager. That’s Clare standing beside Mark in the top photo and posing with Shannon and that BIG cheque in the bottom image. Clare was here not just for the opening but to present $5,000 to local non-profit groups, including the Revelstoke & District Human Society which received $1,100. Telus offered customers who signed up for its new fiber optic network a chance to donate $25 to the charity of their choice. Clare took the opportunity to hand out cheques to the Arts Council, the Visual Arts Society, Bea Aware, the Hospital Auxiliary, the Museum & Archives, the Childcare Resource Society, the Heritage Railway Society, the Theatre Company, the North Columbia Environmental Society and Revelstoke Crime Stoppers.
