7 Eleven teaming up with Revelstoke Crime Stoppers

Coin donation canisters will be available for 7 Eleven customers during the months of January and February 2016 to collect cash to support Crime Stoppers programs.

In British Columbia, donations are used to ensure that the 1-800-222- 8477 anonymous telephone line service is available 24/7 for all citizens in the province and to support other programs that serve all local Crime Stoppers programs.

Since 2005 7 Eleven customers across Canada have donated more than $500,000 to the program.

The volunteer-run Crime Stoppers program allows citizens to anonymously call it at 1-800-222-TIPS to supply police investigators with information about specific crimes or potential crimes. Tipsters never have to supply their true names or contact info. They may also be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000 if their tip leads to an arrest and the laying of criminal charges. The Crime Stoppers Tip Line is available 24 hours a day seven days a week.

If you have information about a crime please call 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can also click here to visit the Revelstoke Crime Stoppers website.
