Stack the Back brought out the best in local people
By David F. Rooney EZ Rock’s first-ever Stack the Back campaign for the Community Connections’ Food Bank was major success with 34 people dropping into the studio to drop off cash donations and share a special Christmas memory or two on air with host Shaun Aquiline. “We had over 30 guests come up to donate and share stories,” Shaun said in an e-mail to The Revelstoke Current. “We raised $3,866.33 In cash donations and then the truck was stacked up.” Jacobson Ford donated the use of a Ford pickup, which was parked at Cooper’s for people to drop off food donations and Cooper’s ran a barbecue for the event. Many of those people trotted to the station’s second-floor office at Alpine Village Mall to wish friends a Merry Christmas and to share a seasonal memory with the community.
