In Pictures and Video: The 2015 CP Rail Holiday Train

This panorama image gives you a sense of the crowd that turned out for the C Rail Holiday Train on Wednesday, December 16. The afternoon show, featuring performers Jim Cuddy, Devin Cuddy and Kelly Prescott, saw Revelstokians donate 720 pounds of food and contribute $1,186 in cash either directly or by purchasing hot dogs and cocoa from the Fire Rescue Service. To cap it all off, the CPR gave Food Bank Manager Patti Larson a cheque for $10,000. Now that's a heck of a Christmas gift, isn't it? Please click on the image to see a larger version of this photo. The CP Rail Holiday Train rolled into town before dark this year with a great afternoon show, featuring performers Jim Cuddy, Devin Cuddy and Kelly Prescott.
The iconic railroad Christmas show brought hundreds of Revelstokians to the rail yard on Victoria Road where they donated 720 pounds of food and contributed $1,186 in cash either directly to the Community Connections Food Bank or by purchasing hot dogs and cocoa from the Fire Rescue Service. To cap it all off, the CPR gave Food Bank Manager Patti Larson a cheque for $10,000. Now that was a heck of a Christmas gift, wasn’t it?
Here’s a selection of photos from the event as well as, at the very end, a video of this year’s performers and the cheque presentation ceremony:

Glen Cherlet (center) leads a kind of double life. On the one hand he's the proprietor and all-around BBQ master at Begbie Barbeque and on the other he is also an active volunteer with the Revelstoke Fire Rescue Service. He got to put his culinary skills to good use grilling up hot dogs for sale at the Holiday Train event. David F. Rooney photo
