For the whole month of December Begbie View students have been putting their chosen theme of “Giving” into practice.
Families brought in donations for the Christmas Hamper Pyjama Drive and then again for the Revelstoke Food Drive. The Me To We team was very pleased to report that they had boxed up and delivered 486 pounds (220kg) of food and household items for the Community Connections Food Bank! Not only that, but there were $128 in cash donations.
Meanwhile, the BVE PAC was giving generously too! They hosted the annual Scholastic Book Fair fundraiser at the start of December. It sold $4,500 books! Some of the funds that were raised went to the school library to help purchase new books. New this year though, was a gift to the ood Bank. The PAC donated $560 worth of books for the Christmas Hampers. The PAC plans on continuing this tradition of giving to a worthy cause every year.
