Share your thoughts on being 'smart and caring'

The Revelstoke Community Foundation is inviting citizens to complete a survey and share what they mean when they think of the phrase ‘smart and caring.’
“Tell us in 50 words or less and you will be entered to have your name drawn for a very special opportunity,” Foundation director Tracy Spannier said in a statement.
“One lucky winner will be selected by random draw and get to designate $1,000 to a charity registered in Revelstoke. An additional winner will… get to designate $500  to a charity registered in Revelstoke! And a youth winner will be selected… designate $500 to a (local) charity.”
Click here to go to the survey, which will be open until Tuesday, November 24.
The winners will be announced on Giving Tuesday, December 1.
“Imagine a day dedicated to giving back
Just as Black Friday kicks off the holiday shopping season, Giving Tuesday is the opening day of the giving season.
With that in mind, Gov.-Gen. David Johnston has challenged the Revelstoke Community Foundation to develop a Smart and Caring Community Fund.
“Join me in imagining our country as it could be a smart and caring nation, where all Canadians can succeed, contribute, and develop their talents to their fullest potential,” he said in the statement.
