Although Brothers voted against the initial zoning changes sought by the developer she did so f0r the best of all possible reasons — she believes no one, including Mayor McKee and Council, all City staff and, of course, the general public have enough information to make an informed decision about the desirability of this project. It might be great for our community but it might also be a freaking disaster and there is no way to know unless the developer, Hall Pacific, tells us more about it… a lot more!
The developer is expected to hold — the date has yet to be announced — a Public Information Meeting at the Community Centre some evening in the next week or so. That will be followed by a Public Hearing of City Council — also expected to be at the Community Centre some evening soon after the developers’ Open House-style meeting.
Details will appear in The Current as soon as they are available. In the meantime, please activate the YouTube player below to watch Councillor Brothers’ presentation.
