Mounties from Revelstoke and other area detachments made something of a mystery arrest on Wednesday, November 25, when they apprehended a motorist who had fled a traffic stop in Banff and led Mounties on a 386-kilometre chase before he was captured.
“The 57-year-old male from Saskatchewan was… taken into custody by the Salmon Arm RCMP and a Police Dog Service unit after the man ditched his vehicle on a logging road near Canoe,” Cpl RThomas Blakney said in a statement released on Thursday.
“The male driver remains in custody. Investigators are continuing the investigation into the reasons as to why the man caused a multi-jurisdictional pursuit.”
