2015's chiefs for a day

Emma Hein of Begbie View Elementary, Jalen Pehowich of Arrow Heights Elementary and Poppy Eadie of Columbia Park Elementary were this year's Fire Chief for a Day. The kids, shown here posing with Chief Rob Girard, won after their posters about the importance of having a fire alarm were chosen as the best from a field of 96 submissions. Emma, Jalen, and Poppy were picked up at school on Thursday, November 5, in Ladder Truck No. 6 and spent the afternoon as the City's Fire Chiefs. The young chiefs received a tour of the fire hall, prize packages and participated in fire department activities. The three chiefs were then treated to a pizza lunch with Fire Chief Girard and Revelstoke's career firefighters. Photo courtesy of the Revelstoke Fire Rescue Service
