Cross-country running for elementary students in Revelstoke came to a sunny close last Thursday, October 22. The final race in a series of four took place at the five-kilometre loop on Mount Revelstoke.
There were runners of all speeds. Most participants ran the full five-km trail but some took a two-kilometre route instead. The sunny fall day kept the trails dry and no injuries were reported.
The first BVE student to cross the two-km route finish line was Emily Hunt, soon followed by Matthew Thibeault. The winner of the boys five-km run was Francesco Morrone (Arrow Heights) and hot on his heels was BVE’s Zach Veninsky. Coming up behind him was the girl’s five-km winner Fia Cameron.
