Be sure to catch Relative Jazz at the Jazz Club this Friday

Relative Jazz is playing at the Revelstoke Jazz Club on Friday, October 23, from 7:30 - 9:30 pm in the Selkirk Room at the Regent Inn. The doors open at 7 pm. No minors please. Admission is by donation. Relative Jazz is a 4- piece combo featuring John Baker on guitar, Wendy Lucas on keyboards, Bob Fournier on bass and Steve Earle on percussion and trumpet. Much of the music that you will hear is classic jazz, the standards passed down from Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Cole Porter, Nat King Cole and the other greats. Mixed into the blend are eclectic jazz pieces with a slight twist on tempo and melodic harmony — a feature of the individuality of the band’s creative members. Just to mix it up a bit, they toss a few classic rock numbers and some original creations into their performances. The members of Relative Jazz have a great time making music together and the Selkirk Room is a wonderful venue for jazz. Photo courtesy of Relative Jazz
