Bob passed away peacefully at the Rocky Mountain House Hospital on September 5, 2015, with his daughter at his side after a courageous and long battle with cancer.
Bob was born in Revelstoke, BC, on July 10, 1954, and resided there until his move to Rocky Mountain House in 2004. An avid outdoorsman, Bob often was fishing, camping, snowmobiling and trapping.
Bob loved his trap line and spent many winters there in Revelstoke.
He was a great friend with a giant heart and a hard worker.
Bob was predeceased by his oldest daughter Kerry Brooks in 2011. He is survived by his youngest daughter Blair Hollingsworth of Revelstoke, son-in-law Wayne Brooks of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, and grandson Spencer Brooks of Revelstoke.
Bob also leaves behind his special friend Reba Bredehorst and family of Rocky Mountain House as well as a number of very close friends in Rocky Mountain House who became family for him.
A celebration of Bob’s life will take place Wednesday September 9, 2015, at 7 pm at the Rocky Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
