Mmmmm… garlic!

The Second Annual Garlic Festival drew an enthusiastic crowd of garlic lovers to Stu Smith’s and Sarah Harper’s home on Track Street East on Saturday.
From 11 am onwards successive waves of friends and customers dropped by to purchase their favourite varieties of the stinking rose. And bulbs were not only thingsĀ finding their way into shopping bags. There were pickled garlic scapes and bulbs organic squash, potatoes and other fresh edibles, jars of garlic syrup and containers of potent powdery mixtures of garlic scapes and hot peppers with names like Garlic Ghost, Dragon Dust and Reaper Madness.
