“I just wanted to let you know that there’s going to be a fundraiser on Sunday at Balu, proceeds to go to All Hands Nepal earthquake relief,” she said in an e-mail to The Current on Tuesday evening, August 18. “So far to date I’ve been able to raise just over $500 for my personal fundraising page (intended to helpfinance a trip to Nepal to join the post-earthquake reconstruction efforts), and I also set up one through All Hands’ donation page (classy.org/mountainshelpingmountains), and with that one have raised just under $700.”
Charise said she is reaching out to “more of a corporate crowd, fingers are crossed that I’ll still be able to reach my goal… and if Revelstoke has taught me anything, it’s that everything always works itself out in the end.”
