Packs of good will

Staff at the Revelstoke Credit Union are great supporters of all kinds of community efforts, especially those involving kids. This Friday, August 21, Julia Marshall, Frank, Tyler Maki and Colby Morin brought 46 backpacks to the Food Bank for distribution to children from low-income families. Backpacks for kids at Columbia Park and Begbie View elementary schools contained vouchers for school sullies from those schools. Kids at Arrow Heights Elementary and Revelstoke Secondary received supplies directly. Either way it helps all kids enjoy a fresh start to the school year. Moms who dropped by to pick up their children's backpacks were deeply touched by the effort put on by the Credit Union's staff. "This means a lot to me," one mom said. "It really does." David F.
