Mounties seeking a stolen truck

Revelstoke RCMP were alerted to a suspicious adult male attempting to steal an older model truck last Friday, July 24. The Mounties responded immediately to the 1400 block of Victoria Road, however, Cpl. Thomas Blakney said in a statement that the culprit had fled the area on foot.
A few minutes later RCMP observed a suspicious truck traveling westbound on Victoria Road. RCMP attempted to stop the truck, however, it fled and was last observed westbound on the Trans-Canada Highway toward Sicamous.
Blakey said the detachment later learned that the burgundy 2004 Ford truck with BC licence plate, BP-0550 was stolen from the 1100 block of Second Street West in Revelstoke.  The unknown culprit driving the stolen truck is believed to be a Caucasian male approximately 40 years of age.
