The break in telephonic communications at the RCMP detachment appears to have been resolved.
The phones were working normally when staff returned to work on Friday morning after what must have been a frustrating day on Thursday. Phone service vanished at about noon and no one knew why.
Staff Sgt. Kurt Grabinsky said the problem was isolated to specific RCMP detachments in the area, as phone service in the remainder of Revelstoke was unaffected.
So… if you need to talk to the Mounties you can now pick up your phone and call.
