Alan Chabot has been hired away from Merritt to become Revelstoke’s new Chief Administrative Officer.
Mayor Mark McKee told The Current that one of the things that the City found attractive about Chabot was his 10 years as CAO in the ski resort town of Fernie n the Elk Valley.
Chabot, who was CAO in Merritt for just one year, has also worked as Corporate Officer in Golden and as City Clerk in Prince George. His private-sector experience includes stints in the mining, forestry and trucking industries, the statement said.
The City is hosting a Meet and Greet for Chabot in the City Hall second-floor administration boardroom on Friday, August 21 from noon until 2 pm.
