NELSON — The Revelstoke U12 Girls Tournament Team attended the Terry Walgreen Memorial Tournament in Nelson on the weekend.
Kootenay Lake provided a picturesque backdrop and a spot to cool off in between games at this just-for-fun tournament.
The team’s first tournament of the season proved a challenge due to intense heat and stiff competition. Opposing teams included Nelson Select, Fernie and the KEYSA Rovers.
The Revelstoke girls performed admirably and showed tremendous improvement throughout the tournament. The girls and Coach Arlana Herle are strategizing and looking forward to their next tournament in Kelowna at the end of June.
